Tracey S. McPherson is a native Washingtonian, and graduate of Strayer University with an Bachelors in Business Management with a concentration in Human Resources. She has gained substantial experience with various populations within the social service field. Over the course of 17 years, she has had the pleasure of working with chronically homeless families at the Covenant House, Catholic Charities, Woodley House and So Others May Eat.
Tracey later transitioned and has worked with children with behavioral and mental instabilities at Family Solutions. Tracey’s passion for her work stems from the work that her father instilled in her to assist families that share the same communities as her upbringing.
Tracey’s passion for helping those that suffer with substance abuse, mental health, domestic violence and human trafficking prompted her to incorporate a 501C-3 non-profit organization called Samuella’s House as the Executive Director. Tracey is currently looking forward to completing her master’s in social work at Walden University. Tracey is currently working at Samaritan Inns as a Lead Monitor, New Hope Mental Health as a Substance Abuse Case manager and Family Solutions as a Community Support Worker.
We offer flexible client centered services and support them throughout their journey from crisis to autonomy.
Women who are seeking treatment from substance abuse and have been victimized by interpersonal violence require holistic case management that will help clients work through problems that may interfere with progress in treatment and trigger the use of alcohol and drugs.
We at Samuella’s House represent our clients as advocates. Our number one priority is to ensure we are representing our clients interest in both assessing services and ensuring the services are meeting the needs of our ladies.
We support our clients from their initial contact with the agency through their 3 step transition.
Composed of leaders from the local community, the board of directors is involved in both shaping the direction of Samuella's House as well as assisting in the day to day operations.
